As the Holidays grow near it is a great time to think about the past year and the upcoming year. My New Years resolution was to have 0 three putts in 2016. Not very realistic but something to strive for. That lasted exactly 3 rounds and that three putt opened the floodgates for numerous more three putts in 2016! I will have to come up with something different for 2017. I get to start hitting balls in January and I can’t tell you how much I have missed golf during this recovery period. Josh has the course in great shape and I look at it every day tempting me. As you play on the cooler days, keep in mind that having several thin layers of clothing works best to allow you to swing and also stay warm. Also, the golf ball doesn’t go as far when it is cold so you might need to hit more club than normal. Swinging smoothly and hitting the ball solidly is a good formula for victory when it is cool outside. Don’t worry, as soon as it warms up again and the course dries out you will have your distance back!

Our Christmas Sale is Tuesday, December 6 in the golf shop starting at 5:30. We have been getting new merchandise in and you should have a great selection to choose from. A new vendor that we are trying is Greg Norman Golf. Be sure to give me your thoughts about the clothing because we will be looking at ven-dors for the Spring ordering.

The 2017 tournament schedule should be out soon. Signups for each tournament will be posted at least 3 weeks prior to the event. If a tournament interests you, please sign up. Tournaments seem to gain momentum when members see people signed up.

My Best Wishes for you this Christmas Season and lets have a great 2017 at Harbor Lakes!!!!!
