The course is in great shape as we head into the warmer weather. The month of May was a lot of fun as we held our Member-Member tournament. We wound up with 20 teams which made up 2 flights.
The winners in the First Flight in a playoff were John Williamson and Tom Hamilton with a score of 125.Finishing second was the team of Jim and Justin Largent. Third place was won by Dustin Anderson and Ryan Ziegler with a score of 127 and 4th place was a three way tie at 128 by the following teams: Rick Karnuth and Tim Dolan, Ron Harding and Maurice Guidry, and Chuck Scherer and Steve Davidson.
The winners in the Second Flight were Jim Lillie and Harry McKee with a score of 122, and a 3 way tie for second with a score of 123 by John Grace and Frank VanCourt, Earl Gandy and Chris Martin, and the team of Lou Hendrickx and Charlie Stenholm.
We also held our Demo Day on May 6 and thanks to Bridgestone, Cobra, Titleist, Mizuno, Ben Hogan, and Callaway for making this a special golf day for Granbury. Hopefully it will continue to grow and become the premier golf event for the Granbury area.
We did have one ace on the course during the month of May as Jim Lillie made a Hole in One on Hole # 15. Congratulations to Jim on a fine shot!
For the month of June, the Senior Tour plays on Thursday at 9am and the LGA plays on Tuesday at 9am. Special Events for June are the Jack and Jill Tournament on June 11th at 1pm. This is the male and female 2 person team competition for members and their guests. We also host the Hill/Brown Tournament on June17th which is a large charity tournament that this year benefits the Miracle League of Granbury. For all of you Junior Golfers, our Junior Lessons are scheduled for June 28-July 1.
