March is here which means golf season has started! We are already seeing the television ads for the Masters tournament in April. At Harbor Lakes, we had 36 players for our Member Tournament on Feb 25th. It took a scorecard playoff to determine the winners as the scoring was very close.
1st place with a score of 66 were Kevin Myers, Galon Cox, Rusty Holt, and Roger Blackwelder. Finishing 2nd also with a score of 66 were Dustin Anderson, Harry McKee, Bill Pearson, and Charlie Stenholm. The 3rd place team with a score of 68 was Steve and Gretchen Hunt and Tony and Karen Varnell. Finishing 4th with a score of 68 was the team of Troy Schulz, Tony Reeves, Frank Van Court, and Ken McDonald. The Closest to the Hole contests were won by Galon Cox, Steve Hunt, Lou Hendrickx, and Troy Schulz.
Additionally, the team of Eric Anderson, Terry Wooten, Shari Langen, Larry Cox and the team of Kevin Myers, Galon Cox, Rusty Holt, Roger Blackwelder won the Skin pot.
Our next tournament like this will be Sunday March 19th. Don’t forget that March 11/12 is our Member-Guest tournament. Be sure to sign up with your guest.
March is also the start of the LGA on Tuesday at 10am and the Senior Tour on Thursday at 10am. Be sure to stop by the golf shop and see all the new items coming in for the season!
