We are excited to announce Matt Mitchell as our new General Manager.

Matt is a Class A PGA Member with over 30 years of experience in the Club business, the last 20 with ClubCorp. Matt grew up in Dallas and is a University of Texas alumnus. Matt has extensive experience in the golf industry, including club operations and tournament management. He has a proven track record of success, employee engagement and member satisfaction. Matt is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for our members and he will bring a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to the role.

He began his career at the Kapalua resort in Maui, Hawaii. Matt was Head Golf Professional at all 3 courses during his tenure at Kapalua, including being the first Head Golf Professional at the Plantation Course, host of the PGA Tour season opening event. After 10 years in Hawaii, Matt made his way back to Texas and was the Director of Golf at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club on Lake Conroe, 50 miles north of Houston. Matt moved to McKinney and joined ClubCorp in 2003. During his 20 years with ClubCorp, Matt was at 5 different clubs in the Dallas area as Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, Regional Director of Golf and General Manager.

Matt’s passion for golf and commitment to excellence have earned him a reputation as an outstanding leader in the Club business. Matt is passionate about giving back to his community and has been involved with numerous charitable organizations over the years. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience will be invaluable to Harbor Lakes. We are confident that Matt will be a great asset to our team and look forward to working with him in his new role as General Manager.

Matt is passionate about the game of golf and loves to share his knowledge with others. He has a great sense of humor and loves to bring out the best in people. He is excited to join Harbor Lakes and looks forward to getting to know the members, staff, and community. Matt understands the importance of providing an exceptional experience for everyone that visits Harbor Lakes. He will strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Matt is committed to developing relationships with members, staff, and vendors that will lead to a successful future for Harbor Lakes Golf Club. We are confident that with his leadership, our club will thrive and continue to be a premier destination for golfers in our community.

On a personal note, Matt recently celebrated his 30-year wedding anniversary with his wife Bridget. They have 2 children; son Austin is in his first year of medical school in Wichita, Kansas and daughter Mackenzie is a junior at the University of North Texas. Matt’s first day at Harbor Lakes was Monday, August 28th. Matt is excited to join the Harbor Lakes team and family.
